Micro-Pak Dri Clay® Kraft is a certified plastic-free desiccant made from natural bentonite clay that is packaged in biodegradable FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Kraft paper. Dri Clay® outperforms silica gel and calcium chloride desiccant and is also safer as it is free of harmful chemicals, non-corrosive and does not leak.

As it is a 100% natural ingredient, bentonite clay may contain trace amounts of minerals with magnetic properties that can, on very rare occasions, trigger metal detectors which are used by the apparel industry to check for any metal parts accidentally left behind in the garments.

Dri Clay® Kraft X2 is a special version of Dri Clay® designed for the apparel industry that will not interfere with metal detectors. We use a proprietary filtration method to remove any minerals with magnetic properties from the clay. The ingredient and efficacy is otherwise unchanged. Dri Clay® Kraft X2 has a 100% pass rate with metal detectors.

• If you make apparel and use metal detectors at 1.0mm setting, we recommend using Dri Clay® Kraft X2 for individual packed items.
• For bulk packing the desiccant is typically added after the metal detection stage so you can use regular Dri Clay® Kraft.
